Junior High School

Building Strong Foundations for Academic Excellence and Future Success

At BACNOF Schools, our Junior High School (JHS) programme guides learners confidently through the vital bridge between primary education and senior high school. Spanning JHS 1 to JHS 3 (ages 12–15), it combines academic excellence, personal development and practical life skills — all within the Christian values and culture of excellence that have shaped BACNOF for over 17 years.

Learners follow a broad, well‑structured curriculum built around core subjects — English Language, Mathematics, Integrated Science and Social Studies — alongside languages, Religious and Moral Education, and enriching areas such as Computing/ICT, Career Technology, Creative Arts and Physical Education. Lessons are delivered by qualified, dedicated teachers who make learning engaging, relevant and rooted in genuine understanding rather than rote memorisation.

Our approach nurtures critical thinking, independence and leadership. Through discussion, projects, practical work and the use of technology, students learn to reason, solve problems and express themselves with confidence. Manageable class sizes allow teachers to give individual attention, monitor progress closely and support each learner to reach their full potential.

A key focus of the JHS years is thorough preparation for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) and a smooth transition to senior high school. Regular assessment, structured revision, mock examinations and targeted support help learners build the knowledge, study habits and exam confidence they need to excel — and to secure places in strong second‑cycle institutions.

Beyond academics, we are committed to developing the whole child. Daily devotions, mentorship and value‑based guidance shape character and integrity, while sports, clubs, leadership roles and co‑curricular activities help students discover their talents, build teamwork and grow into responsible, well‑rounded young people.

The result is a confident, disciplined and capable graduate — grounded in Christian values, strong in academics and ready to take on the challenges of senior high school and the wider world. At BACNOF, excellence is not just a goal; it is our way of life.
